Faith Journeys: Isaiah Hoeppner

When I was asked to write about how God is calling me it really got me to think more on the subject. So here is what I think God is calling me to.

When I was in grade four, I really felt that God was calling me to be a pastor. I got this feeling by being involved in Sunday services, doing the prayers, being the acolyte, usher and communion helper. But as I grew older that feeling has faded a little. It was replaced with hope of working in a different job, such as ambulance working or firefighter working. I believe that these jobs would be serving God as well, just in a different way.

Now I feel that God is calling me to drum with the Worship Team and praise him in that way. I love playing the drums and being able to play the drums at church is a bonus like no other. I have loved reading the prayers, being acolyte, ushering and helping with communion; and I hope I can continue to participate in the same things as I get older.

This is what I think God is calling me to at this time in my life.
