Mission Statement

We believe
that faith comes alive in God's whole world
as congregation and home partner together
for learning and living the faith.

We believe
that the Triune God
works through Word and Sacrament,
and trusting and caring relationships,
to nurture faith and values in the contexts of life itself.

Goals

1.1 Congregations will make a connection between church and home in all their ministries, encouraging ministry in the home

1.2 Congregations and homes will be safe and nurturing places for the whole family of God

1.3 Parenting and family skills will be expanded

1.4 Parents will learn to share (teach, discuss, listen) around faith issues with their children

1.5 Congregations will support and encourage the formation of intergenerational relationships

1.6 Members and friends will seek nurturing and caring relationships, Word and Sacraments in the congregation for their own growth in faith

1.7 Youth ministry will shift its primary focus from peer group to congregational and family–based ministry

1.8 Congregations and homes will seek opportunities for evangelism, service and outreach in their communities
