NATIONAL BISHOP NAMES TWO ASSISTANTS

Winnipeg, December 12, 2002 (ELCIC) -- ELCIC National Bishop Raymond Schultz has announced the appointment of two new assistants to the National Bishop.

Rev. Paul N. Johnson has accepted the call to be Assistant to the Bishop for Ecumenical Relations. He will begin his duties during the first week in March 2003.

Rev. Elaine Sauer has accepted the call to be Assistant to the Bishop for Synodical Relations. She will begin her duties on February 17, 2003.

A fuller release with biographical information will be provided on December 13.
