The International Volunteer Coordinator, Monica Denk, has set her sights on recruiting one new Volunteer in Mission (VIM) from each of the five ELCIC Synods. In addition to rejuvenating the well-established ELCIC VIM program, Monica is launching the International Volunteer Service (IVS) program of Canadian Lutheran World Relief. The VIM and IVS combination provides a whole new world of opportunity.
The VIM program is for full-time volunteers who serve away from home, normally for a minimum of six months. VIM is a great way to launch or crown a career or spice up life in mid-career. VIMs can be placed with partner churches and other Christian organizations in countries around the world including Canada. A VIM candidate can be considered for a joint placement with IVS if their skills and experience are a good fit with an IVS opportunity |
