Throughout the course of convention, there are many opportunities to gather together in worship. From the festive occasions of opening and closing worship to the early morning Communion services (a wonderful way to begin the day!) to the quiet contemplation of night prayer to the call of our chaplain to prayer on the convention floor, the convention is grounded in the central things of the faith. We are grounded in those central things—bread wine, water, word—those things we hold central and in a profound way, those central things which hold us.
All were invited to be actively engaged in the worship—to be comforted and refreshed by the familiar, to be delighted and challenged by the new, and to experience God's grace, given as a gracious gift, binding us together as one body in the meal of thanksgiving.
The worship design team was led most ably by the Rev. Eric Dyck. Heartfelt thanks are extended to him and to all who have worked tirelesly with him to plan and prepare for our worship. It is our hope that worship was a stream of life-giving sustenance to all the delegates and visitors at this convention.
The feast is prepared. The table is large enough for all. Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters!
