Hymn Festival at Messiah Lutheran Church
What is more inspiring than a few hundred Lutherans singing their favorite hymns, in harmony, with a great organ and organist? This is an evening that will be hard to beat!
Mr. David Cherwin, renowned church organist, presently serving at Mt Olive Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis, will be our guest organist for an evening of hymns including old favourites, "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" and "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" as well as some new hymns to learn.
During the evening, the ELCIC Companion of the Worship Arts for 2002 will be awarded to Rev Michael Mills. Rev. Mills created the processinal cross used at our convention.
After the hymn sing, we will again process en masse to Augustana. |
