Dr. Richard Hordern

Dr. Richard Hordern, president of Luther College in Regina, Saskatchewan, addressed the convention delegates. He referred to the written report included in the Bulletin of Reports, noting that the high school serves 380 students and the university has over 900 students. President Doug Hopkins

Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute

President Doug Hopkins of LCBI, in Outlook, Saskatchewan, reported to the convention making reference to his written report included in the Bulletin of Reports. The school accommodates 140 students, however, the tradition of most of them being Lutheran has changed. Forty percent of the students are Lutheran and 15 percent are children of alumni. He noted that more students with greater social, spiritual and emotional needs are part of the student body. New strategies for student recruitment are being planned. Stronger connections with local churches and Luther Theological Seminary, Augustana, and Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute are being developed. Three new board members were nominated and elected.
