Overseas Personnel
The ELCIC currently has two long-term overseas positions: Rev. Brian Rude, El Salvador; Rev. Fran Schmidt, Peru. In addition, the ELCIC currently supports three local pastors: Rev. Yoli Zavaleta, Peru; Rev. Gustavo Gomez, Argentina; and Rev. Sergia Utz, Argentina.

  • Brian is currently involved in restorive justice work in the prison system in San Salvadore and surrounding areas.

  • Fran is called to the congregation of San Juan. She also assists the Lutheran Church of Peru with music and liturgy.
