Partnership with CLWR

GHDA/CLWR Partnership

There are not two fundraising programs for relief and development in the ELCIC.

The Global Hunger and Development Appeal (GHDA) is the ELCIC's official fundraising vehicle for relief and development work; Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) is the delivery arm for that work.

CLWR facilitates and supports development programs in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. It also provides emergency relief in cases of disaster and enables sponsorships for refugee resettlement in Canada.

The ELCIC is proud to support the work of CLWR worldwide with funds from GHDA while also supporting programs that advocate with governments and non-government organizations for the systemic changes that are required to complement the work of CLWR.

GHDA is an important way for you to support the mission of the ELCIC. With the same gift, you can ensure that people across the street and around the world are receiving the assistance they require.
