Easter Message 2003

Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.

Psalm 139:7-8

Nothing in the universe is outside the reach of God's grace; God made it all!

Nothing in the universe is outside the scope of God's love; God loves it all.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God; not life, not death.

To be alive is to experience the presence of God everywhere. Death can end our presence to one another, but it cannot end God's presence to us.

Only for a short time, during that part of our life in which we are conscious of ourselves, do we have a sense that we are somehow separate from God. Once we die, our separation is ended and there is, once again, only God, who always IS.

Our Lord Jesus Christ gave his life into God's hands believing that they would never be separated. He was right! His rising from the tomb is his promise that we too shall live. The future that awaits us is life forever in the presence of LIFE.

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Alleluia!
